The Universe Online

I’ve been almost uninterrupted over the holidays and the project has been kept on track. To say “top-notch’ communication doesn’t even describe it, it’s been super-top-notch.

“My project is The Universe Online, to check out the project, you can go to theuniverseonline.com, there’s a little snippet about what we’re working on there. At the beginning of the project, we knew we’d be outsourcing at some point, so I was looking at all the options. Vteams just happened to be one that was meeting a lot of the criteria. So we decided to work with them on building a log-in component for the software Joomla!. We’ve also tried someone else and are continue using that source for other components of the project, but for different reasons.

Vteams has been great, absolutely outstanding. Particularly, with all the stuff going on in Pakistan at the moment. I’ve been almost uninterrupted over the holidays and the project has been kept on track. To say “top-notch’ communication doesn’t even describe it, it’s been super-top-notch.

There are somethings that I’d like to change about the experience, but not because of vteams. I’d invest in a heavy-duty professional generator rather than asking a programmer to stay on a Saturday, so people can continue working when there are power-outages in Lahore. And, the almost 12 hour time difference is kind of inconvenient, but of course not due to vteams. There’s nothing I’d change about the way they’re doing it.

The project is still in the works. I’ve come across an insurmountable obstacle that’s still looming, and I’ve got some people trying to work around it. We might have to interrupt the service with vteams and I’ve talked to Mark about it. He said he can’t guarantee the same person, which is completely understandable, but no problem.”
